And after the wedding, this is where we’ll share our photographs and the video of our ceremony.

This page is a work-in-progress.

In the meantime, feel free to email us if you have questions.
One of us will answer you, and we’ll likely also add that answer to the FAQ section of this page.

Our Wedding Day Schedule

Our wedding will take place on Monday, November 11, which is also the Veteran’s Day holiday.
Our Ceremony will begin at 10am at Red Rock State Park, just outside Sedona, under a huge, beautiful tree they call the Wedding Tree.
After the ceremony, our Reception will begin at noon at our favorite restaurant in Sedona: Chocolatree, in their outdoor garden. The reception will complete no later than 3pm.

More details coming soon!

Our Ceremony

Monday, November 11th   10AM – 11:20 or so
Red Rock State Park – The Wedding Tree
4050 Red Rock Loop Rd., Sedona, AZ  86336

Please arrive to the park by 9:30, so you can park and walk to the Wedding Tree with plenty of time before our ceremony starts.

Dress with layers, the morning will be cool. At 10am when the wedding starts, the temperature will probably be in the upper 50’s – by the time it ends we may reach the low 60’s. So, not terribly cold, but there may be a breeze. You’ll want a sweater or a light jacket, and possibly a hat. We want you to be comfortable!

Important: Several of our Sedona friends have been confused: “Red Rock State Park,”  where we’re having our wedding, is not the same park as “Red Rock Crossing – Crescent Moon Ranch”. If you come down Upper Red Rock Loop Road, you go past the turnoff for Crescent Moon and continue 3 more miles before you reach Red Rock State Park and turn left.
Your map app will probably take you to the Lower Red Rock Loop Road turnoff from 89A, and that is faster and simpler.

When you enter the park, tell the attendant at the entry gate that you are attending our wedding, so he won’t charge you the usual park entry fee.

After you pass through the gate, follow the signs to the Visitor Center and park.

The Wedding Tree is about a 12-minute walk from the visitor center, on a smooth dirt path called the Bunkhouse Path – follow the sign for Kingfisher Bridge. We recommend you wear comfortable, flat shoes. We don’t recommend high heels.

The only bathrooms are at the visitor center. We highly recommend a bathroom stop before you begin the walk to the Wedding Tree.  🙂

Our reception

Monday, November 11th  Noon – 3:00pm or so
The Outdoor Garden at ChocolaTree Restaurant,
1595 AZ-89A
Sedona, AZ  86336

Parking: After our ceremony completes, you’ll drive back into West Sedona on 89A. Chocolatree is on your right just past Inspirational Drive. Parking at the restaurant is limited, so they’ve asked us for you all to turn right on Inspirational Drive, just before you see Chocolatree. When you turn, you’ll see a parking lot on your right with a sign saying that this is additional parking for Chocolatree. Park in this lot, and then it’s just a short walk on 89A to the restaurant.

Travel Tips

This section is for you if your coming from out of town:
Iris and David live in Clarkdale, between Cottonwood and Jerome. We’re about
23 miles southwest of Sedona.

Flights & Cars

If you’re flying to our wedding from another state, fly into Phoenix International Airport (PHX). We are about an hour and 40 minutes north of PHX by car.
There is a shuttle service from PHX to our area (Groome). But once you arrive here you’ll need access to a car to get around. So we recommend renting a car at the airport.
Email us if you’d like to connect with other wedding guests to share a rental car, and we’ll hook you up if we can.

Hotels/Accommodations

There are many possibilities for accommodations.

If you’re coming mainly for our wedding, we recommend staying in the Cottonwood area. It’s closer to us, and most options are less expensive than staying in Sedona.

If you do choose to stay in Sedona – which makes sense if you’re staying longer than just the weekend, and you’ll have time for more touristy adventures –  we recommend finding a hotel or AirBnb in the West Sedona area. It’s the part of Sedona closest to everything we’re doing.

Strong recommendation: do not stay in the Village of Oak Creek (VOC). This will be a holiday weekend, and there’s a very strong possibility of major traffic delays. A trip into Sedona from VOC that would usually take 20 minutes can take up to 2 hours with Sedona holiday traffic.

There are many AirBnB’s in the Clarkdale/Cottonwood area, and that can be a great option. This link will give you a head start on AirBnB’s.

If you’d prefer to stay in a hotel, two high-rated ones we like in Cottonwood are the Lux Verde and the Best Western.  Of course there are many other choices available, try Travelocity or Hotwire.

Wedding Gift Registry

We welcome any personal offers for healing or energy work as a gift. We also appreciate arts and crafts made by our friends.  Please feel what your heart wants to share, and we will be most appreciative.

For purchased gifts, click here for our gift registry with Amazon.

And if you’re feeling extravagant, here’s another possibility:
Omega Juicers MM1500   – Blue version

We’re also ok with anyone feeling moved, in lieu of a wedding gift, to make a donation to one of the many good nonprofit organizations supporting the recovery efforts after the the recent hurricanes Helene and Milton. Please let us know if you choose to do this.

Wedding Party

Leading the wedding ceremony will be Veronica Vida, our Officiant.

Providing musical accompaniment on flute before and throughout the ceremony will be our wonderful friend and award-winning musician, Claudia Tulip. See Claudia’s website for examples of her music.

David’s brother, Larry Rosenthal, will be his Best Man.

Iris’s daughter, Rachel Brooke Sprouse, will be her Maid of Honor.
Iris’s beloved friends, Cyndie Lepori and Linda Shay, will be her bridesmaids.

Iris’s son, Jared Sprouse, will escort her down the aisle.

Iris’s cousin, Matt Craven, will be our photographer and videographer.
